Back in the World

As we get back out in the world again, I can’t help but notice how clunky some of our behaviour is with one another. Adjusting to post pandemic life is a sensitive process and calls for patience and acceptance. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to reconnect in person and also mindful of the changes that we have all encountered on a personal and social level.

Fathoming

We’re learning how to be again now that the world has opened

We’re starting to feel free again, the winds of change have spoken

We’re getting used to bigger groups, to having far more plans

One part of me is all whoop whoop, the other wants to land

Beginning to emerge again, embracing the new normal

An urgency to now reclaim what went amidst the turmoil

We cannot just go back and blend, now we have been awoken

We’re learning how to be again now that the world has opened
