Before our Eyes

This weekend Android and I went for some lovely spontaneous meals in town. These days we appreciate being able to do this more than ever and have really learned to savour the virtues of the simple life. When we focus on what we have and what we can do instead of what is lacking, we find the most fulfilling form of contentment. Here’s to what’s on our doorstep!

Memory Makers

Make memories from the day to day

Slow times more peace have brought me

Appreciate what comes your way

These changing days have taught me

The next best toy does not bring joy

It’s what we have that feeds us

The wanting is what most destroys

Be there for those who need us

The simple life can be as nice

and fewer plans I’m hatching

Though trips abroad for sure entice

To Now I am attaching

I find excitement every day

I’m entertained wherever

Appreciate what comes your way

For life has changed forever
