May has been a rainy old month so far this end and I am for one am looking forward to some late Spring sunshine! Yesterday as I returned from my run it began to rain and it felt almost as if the sky was expressing its grief for the last 18 months and I began to write!
Sky News
The sky tipped out its spleen of grief upon the late Spring dawn
It scattered buds like strained tea leaves, cast tears upon sad lawn
To let the loss be shed and tossed outside brought instant healing
The world has had a crazy ride, the sky can’t hold all feelings
“Bring back the sun” said everyone, the light is what we’re seeking
“I will” dear human honey-buns, when all the loss stops leaking
For you and I, like Father Sky are processing deep shifting
Soon Light will glimmer through our eyes and bring vibrations lifting

I began writing poetry on a daily basis when I lost my Father back in 2015 and I haven't stopped since. Writing in nature is as much a part of me as brushing my teeth and I am so very grateful for this outlet in my life.
Aside from all things poetic, I am a jogger, a hiker, a creative mover and I also co-lead an online Untaming Femininity Tribe for women wishing to explore their femininity on their own terms. View all posts by Sam Allen Creative Coach
