Look who Showed Up!

The more we show up as our true selves, in our pure energy, unfiltered, the greater our impact in this world. In fact, in my experience, people are quite relieved when we stop trying to be perfect and begin to shine our unique light in all of its quirky glory.

Frankly

Being true to who we are allows the same for others

May realness be our guiding star, within it we recover

All we must do is feel on through, embracing all the learning

For there is not another You and life continues turning

Let’s share our mess, not window dress

Let’s not profess to know it

For human is what we do best

Let’s let it out, let’s show it

We do not need to travel far, connection to discover

Being true to who we are allows the same for others

  1. How can your tribe find you if you are not being yourself? Great poem! Especially loved the rhythm and internal rhyme of lines like “Let’s share our mess, not window dress / Let’s not profess to know it.” Many modern poets think rhyming is childish and un-hip. For me, it’s like a secret handshake to an exclusive club. Glad you’re in it. 🙂
