Creation Stations

Whilst commuting back and forth to Zürich for a course a few months ago, my walk to the station was sacrosanct. During the twenty minute walk many an idea or insight came to mind which I captured into the notes section of my phone. Today’s poem was written on the last morning of the commute and reminds me of the joy found in solitude.

Grateful Glimpse

It’s beautiful to walk alone

In morning’s pink and powdered tones

To cast my feet upon the street

Where diamond leaves my soles do meet

It’s wonderful with my two ears

The melody of birds to hear

As they in gentle cheep converse

And solitude skips through my verse

It’s humbling to know that we’re

A part of something bigger here

Outside I have a sense of home

How beautiful to walk alone
