Brave Companions of the Road

We human beings are social animals and where would we be without our loved ones and friends? As I muse on lovely times with Andy and with family, friends and neighbours, I felt so lucky to have lovely people in my life with who I can celebrate, commiserate and share the load. Today’s post is an unabashed tribute to love and friendship.

Companionship

Thank goodness for companionship

Where would I be without you?

Together we can manage it

I’m here when others doubt you

Thank heavens for complicity

The strength of combined powers

To walk with you right next to me

Gives meaning to my hours

In life there is no manuscript

Just need your wits about you

Thank goodness for companionship

Where would I be without you?

  1. A keeper for times of confusion:
In life there is no manuscript / Just need your wits about you

Just spent the weekend with my husband at his 50th High School reunion – what an amazing mingle of people who’ve been through many tumbles to get to this point of reconnection with childhood companions. They all welcomed me into the mix. A delight, but going in I was definitely w/o manuscript!
