Chilling Out

When we’re spurned by love it is all too easy to get wrapped up in anger and bitterness. The truth is that we co-create our relationships and so blame and anger don’t really help anyone in the long run. Today’s poem, inspired by unprecedented separations, is about letting go and trusting that everything happens for a reason.

Cold Curve

He doesn’t have an arctic heart

Despite the frost projected

Yes he who ripped your heart apart

who made you feel rejected

Though you may smart, your arrows dart,

despise the ice that scalded

Remember you too played a part

This season you’ve both moulded

The icicles of tears that flow

will melt though you are tested

And soon these winter wounds shall go

you’ll grow as manifested
