Happy Feet

Despite myself I have managed to go a full ten days without jogging. My ankle is slightly happier with me now that I have finally listened and despite the odd burning sole episode, there are definite improvements. I cannot wait to get back to it though. Today’s poem is all about how a good jog can put the world to rights. Has anyone seen my trainers?!

Jog On

The wind thrashed through her hurried hair

Her cheeks were rosy red

She stepped away her every care

And jogged fear on its head

The leaves leapt up in empathy

The clouds with pride did burst

The sky cried out in sympathy

Thank God she’d seen the worst

An elemental mystery, but she pushed on ahead

The strike of lightning history

Her focus now ahead
