The Tree-Hugging Bug

Most people who read my blog know how happy that being out in nature makes me. At times I would actually go as far as to say that it makes me ecstatically happy! I know that I am not alone in this and yes, I will admit it, I have been known to hug the odd tree or two whilst in the great outdoors! What does nature mean to you?

Natural Beauty

I am humbled by your God given face!

Your vast valleys inflate me with life,

and I thrive in the vivacity of your lithe leaves

How your green grace glistens unapologetically,

filling my veins with the lust to create!

I marvel at the immensity of your power!

As it surges through rampant rivers and singing streams

As it soars through the open skies of forgiveness

And mellows with the amber sunset glow

I melt into the trust of your loving lucidity!

Stripped bare, our projections dissolve like meaningless particles

into the forgiving warmth of your faithful fields

A lifetime away from the smoke and mirrors

I am floored by the veracity of this view
