Ray of Light

Gratitude is a fashionable focus in the world of pop psychology at the moment and for a very good reason. It is well known that thankful people are happier and so counting ones blessings has to be a good thing in my book. As I roamed in the local forest one Saturday morning I observed the lovely light coming through the trees, reminding me that usually, whatever the circumstances, there is always good and light to be found.

Lightfighter

Choose the light that fights its way out of the darkest cracks

At night the stars vibrate afar and shine divine light back

Choose the shards, however hard, that brighten your existence

The universe deals lucid cards despite the dark’s persistence

Choose the glow, for well you know, the flame is yours to claim

When you allow your light to show then others do the same

Choose the path of love and laughs

Soon there’ll be no way back

Choose the light that fights its way out of the darkest cracks
