Hidden Gems

In the name of maxing out my summer holidays I recently decided to do an overnight stay in Switzerland. With no fixed ideas of where my one night get away should be, I simply entered ‘Switzerland’ into my good old faithful booking.com search and filtered the results by review rating. Chez Sven turned out to be a randomly delightful gem. A bed and breakfast with style, warmth, and a wonderful spa and little pool, a hearty breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and all topped off by the friendly and genuine Sven himself.  Located on the outskirts of Solothurn and not too far from home, I will definitely be back for another stint. Those interested in a stay at Chez Sven can find him on Facebook (Chez Sven) or on booking.com. He is located at Schulhausstrasse 48, 4573 Lohn -Ammannsegg , Solothurn, Switzerland.

Chez Sven

It’s shabby chic meet zen retreat

The welcome warm and cosy

With quirky signs, a style refined

Bright bedsheets pink and rosy

Two swirly chairs, chosen with care

Each feature has a a meaning

“A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear”

Even the matt is beaming!

It’s home from home, the warm spa foams

The pool is gently heated

The details from my mind will roam

But not how I was greeted

So thank you Sven, I’ll come again

Repeat guests are a given

Your place deserves ten out of ten

A business that’s heart driven
